I have always wanted to be an architect for so many reasons. Funnily enough, my interest sparked from an online game I used to play 24/7 when I was younger where you could build whatever you wanted. After school, I would play for hours at a time, building houses, then deleting them and building new ones. Then I realized I was more interested in the field because I loved art and designing with my own creativity, and because math and calculations came easily to me. Though those are still some of the main reasons, I’ve realized I also aspire to become an architect for the bettering of our environment due to the constant development of our world. In the future, I aim to be able to create sustainable yet aesthetic solutions for our ways of living. When I first learned that a design as simple and beautiful as green roofs can be so beneficial to the environment, it made me wonder what other structures can be produced by combining aesthetics and productivity.
