Why I want to work in architecture
I’m an architectural designer and sustainability consultant based in San Francisco, working toward architectural licensure. I really care about building a future that’s sustainable, equitable, and beautiful. I recently transitioned from my role at Atelier Ten, a leading sustainability consultancy, in order to complete the remainder of my AXP hours in architectural practice. Having completed all six licensure exams and spent the past few years shaping sustainability outcomes on complex projects, I’m eager to apply that experience within a firm known for design excellence, technical rigor, and collaboration across disciplines.
In my last position, I guided environmental analysis, material research, and regenerative design strategies for complex, award-winning projects. I frequently led early-stage workshops, coordinated with multidisciplinary consultant teams, and translated technical data into actionable design guidance. Before that, I earned recognition for building technology excellence in my graduate work, and I hold certifications as a LEED AP ID+C, Construction Documents Technologist (CSI), and Certified Passive House Designer.
I’m proficient in Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, and Enscape and highly proficient in the use of Adobe Creative Suite. I bring several years of experience working in multidisciplinary environments, along with hands-on craft knowledge from woodworking and renovating my own Eichler home.
