I am interested in the professional practice of architecture because I believe that every individual and family has the right to safe, functional, and well-designed housing. I am currently studying interior architecture with an interest in affordable housing, multi-family housing, sustainability, accessibility, and urban design. These areas directly address the needs of communities that are most vulnerable to housing insecurity. I believe architecture has the power to improve quality of life by creating spaces that are not only affordable, but also functional, and aesthetically thoughtful. Through my studies, I hope to contribute to design solutions that support low-income individuals, people with disabilities, and those experiencing homelessness, ensuring that everyone has access to a place they can truly call home.
