I am interested in the professional practice of architecture because I want to see how design ideas translate into real spaces that people experience every day. In my academic work at Cal Poly Pomona, I have developed projects from early concepts through detailed documentation, and I’ve become more curious about how those ideas are carried through collaboration, constraints, and construction. My approach to design often begins with understanding the site; its climate, context, and purpose. Through my recent sustainable design studio, I have been exploring strategies such as cross ventilation, shading, and water reuse, which have influenced how I think about performance and responsibility in architecture. I am also drawn to the relationship between material, structure, and form. I enjoy building detailed physical models because they help me understand how elements come together and how design decisions are actually realized. I am looking to gain professional experience where I can learn from others, contribute to real projects, and continue developing both my technical skills and design thinking in a collaborative environment.
